The event was organized by the University of Groningen in the Netherlands which currently holds the organisation’s presidency. With the theme “Sustainable Law and Sustainable Legal Education” the conference was dedicated to pressing issues of the disciple such as qualifications of law teachers, multidisciplinary legal research and distance learning. Besides, with the participation of around 100 law faculties, the event presented an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility of SEELS and to lobby for new collaborations. ELFA and SEELS signed a memorandum of understanding in 2012 in which both networks expressing their interest for closer cooperation.
