As of 2008, the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law organises the Belgrade Open Pre-moot competition in cooperation with the GIZ Open Regional Fund, Foreign-Trade Arbitration Court attached to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Belgrade City Hall and a number of renowned law firms as a preparation for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.  As of 2012, the German Institution of Arbitration - DIS is part of the Belgrade Open Pre-moot organizing board and is contributing significantly to its successful organization.

This year six member universities of SEELS will participate at the event with the support of the sub-project “Gender oriented implementation of the ADR instruments in the Western Balkan”, financed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in frame of the project Open Regional Fund for South East Europe-Legal Reform.
