Governing bodies

The Management Board

The Management Board is the decision making body of SEELS. It is composed of one representative of each regular SEELS member faculty and meets twice a year. As highest body of SEELS, the main tasks of the Management Board is to give directions to the network. 

This includes inter alia: 

  • supervising the implementation of the policies related to the SEELS membership;
  • finances and activities;
  • adopting the SEELS strategy, operational plan and budget;
  • deciding upon new members, project proposals and staff of the Centre for SEELS;
  • promoting and representing SEELS;
  • developing an intellectual property policy;
  • adopting a curriculum for joint programmes.

The Advisory Board

The Advisory Board represents the most significant national actors (universities, relevant government representatives and representatives of the legal professions), other important donors and strategic international partners, and has the main task of advising the SEELS Management Board in scientific, strategic and political matters. The Advisory Board promotes SEELS on regional and international level and assure political support in the individual countries and accommodate general interest of donors.
