The scope of SEELS embrace all legal disciplines and fields which have a clear regional or cross-border dimension.

SEELS have a three-pillar-approach:
(a) Education;
(b) Research;
(c) Publishing.

These approach aims to support the strategic orientation of the Law Schools and to reach three important target groups:
 1. Students (undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students);
 2. academic staff;
 3. legal professions.
